Small Projects
"Your Son, Basilius" currently exists as concept art for a graphic novel centering Basilius, a young ruler who gets swept up into a prophecy that challenges his worldviews and the way in which he goes about life and relationships.
"What a Wild, Wonderful World!" is a spoof project package that realizes a story about anthropomorphic representations of the Ancient World Wonders, and the hijinks that would ensue with their worldwide tourism.

"Carapace" is a senior thesis project that was created with many uses in mind. Not only is this an endeavor that can be carried beyond the initial chapter, but it is an exploration of my skills as a storyteller, cartoonist, designer, and illustrator.

Howdy!! I’m Drych, an American multi-media illustrator, cartoonist, and alumnus of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. I consider my body work a reflection of my worldview-- equally extravagant and absurd. I have always been enamored by art of storytelling, and love nothing more to help in realizing these projects.Despite the philosophical hindrance of actually capturing the concept of storytelling, I find exhilaration in the chase of it. Whether the story be encased within a single illustration, or span a several-year project, it is a pursuit I will never tire of.Outside of the universal pleasures of life (long walks on the beach, drinks at sunset on a breezy ocean coast, petting animals) I stretch my legs by walking through museums, stores, and other places with objects to behold, and, if given the opportunity, perform music in bands/orchestras.Go forth in life with passion, endurance, and love!
